The fact that I barely see any Forte5s on the road. Look at the damn thing. I see plenty of Focii and Golfs, but barely any Forte5s. The sedan is everywhere, but barely any hatches to be seen. Same with the Elantra.
If I were to buy a brand new car, the Forte SX Turbo would be high up on my list, no doubt about it. Good enough for Top Gear’s SIARPC, good enough for me.

What’s that? (Googles)
Seems to be a variant of the Cee’d, another weirdly named Kia.

I’ve never seen one of these, even at a Kia dealership. Is it a Canada-only thing?

Is this a Canadia only type of thing? Cause I’ve never seen one in the states.
Edit: Nevermind I guess they do sell them here. Just never noticed.

That’s exactly what it is, it’s the North American name for the Cee (apostrophe) D. Also known in some markets as the K3, and in some as the Cerato.

Just checked the American website, you can get a Forte5 in the States.

Nope. You can get one in the US.

Have you actually driven one?
The manual in this is atrocious (high engagement point, mushy pedal feel and looooots of travel), there is a LOT of turbo lag and the suspension aren’t significantly different from a standard Forte (which isn’t good in a 200-ish HP car).
You could probably get a lightly used GTI for the same price, and it would be miles ahead of this thing.

Me too. I looked at a dealer near me. They have 1 new for sale and no used. Low production?

I have no idea. Last time I was at a Kia dealer they had a few on the lot, but not nearly as much as the sedan and coupe.

The current Forte (the whole lineup) is pretty rare near me though I see lots of Optimas, Souls and Sportages.

It’s like that with me too really. I see about 5-8 Elantras for every Forte I see. It’s weird, because like you said, every other Kia is popular. It’s also odd because compact cars are the biggest car segment in Canada, very odd.

Like the Lancer Sportback. I see them all over Vancouver but have only ever seen one in the greater Seattle area.

They should make a Sport Forte5, based off the Kia Pro Cee’d
It would probably help sales to put a GTI competitor in there.

I think for the most part Hyundai’s cars are more popular than Kia’s, while Kia’s SUVs are more popular than Hyundai’s.

I see Elantra GTs often, but maybe two ever Forte5

Huh, never knew that. My local Kia dealer doesn’t have any.

I didn’t know they still made the Forte5. However I do see Elantra GT’s around quite a bit, I think they are perfectly nice cars for the money.
